About a future in which everything was gonna feel all right
It wasn’t perfect or profound
Just the world around me honestly embracing me
In spite of all of my failings

But now the nightmare’s taken hold
And I am struggling to breath while it’s impaling me
And though I try to fight it
I am getting weak, and feel like giving up
The numbness reaches deep inside my heart and I’m afraid
